A project is one site, property or job. Each one holds its own issues, photos, map and report.
Create a project
- On the Projects tab, tap + at the top right.
- Type a title. Create lights up once there's some text.
- Tap Create, or press Return on the keyboard.
The same + panel also has Import, Duplicate and the server options. See Moving and sharing projects.
If you create a project while you're inside a tag folder, the new project gets that tag automatically. See Organising with tags.
Project details
Open the project and tap the gear icon in the toolbar. Changes save as you go; there's no Done button.
- Photo: Take photo, Choose photo or Remove photo. The project photo appears on the project tile and on the report's cover page. If you don't add one, the tile shows the first issue's photo.
- Title, Reference and Client name, which all appear on the cover page.
- Date: the report date. It starts as the day you created the project.
- Comments: notes about the whole project. These print on the cover page, unless you turn them off in Theme Options.
- Map: Choose map adds a site plan from your photo library. See Maps and locations.
- Tags: for grouping projects. See Organising with tags.
Find a project
Use the search bar at the top of the Projects tab. It matches project titles and tags.
Reorder and delete projects
- Tap the edit icon at the top right of the Projects tab.
- To reorder, drag a project to a new place.
- To delete, tap the cross on the project, then Delete to confirm. This deletes the project, its issues and its photos.
- Export the project as a
.snagfile (see Copy a project with a .snag file). - Save its PDF report (see Print, email or save the PDF).
Duplicate a project
Handy for a repeat inspection of the same site, or when several projects share a set of issues.
- On the Projects tab, tap +, then Duplicate.
- Choose the project to copy. You can search, or open a tag folder and use Back to leave it.
The copy is called "Copy of" plus the original title, and includes every issue and photo. Rename it in the project details.
Sign off a project
The Complete button at the top right of a project's issue list opens the sign-off panel:
- Signature: sign with your finger. Clear starts again. The signature prints on the report's cover page.
- Audited By: the auditor's name. It's also saved as the Auditor in Settings.
- Mark as complete or Mark as incomplete: records whether you've finished the project.
