Organising with tags

Use tags like folders, so a project can live in more than one place.

Tags keep a long list of projects tidy. They work like folders, except a project can be in more than one at once. For example, you could tag a project with both a client name and a year.

How tags work

  • Each tag shows as a folder on the Projects tab.
  • A tagged project appears inside each of its tag folders, and no longer appears in the main list.
  • Projects with no tags stay in the main list.

Add tags to a project

  1. Open the project and tap the gear icon to open its details.
  2. Scroll down to Tags.
  3. Type a tag in the Tag field and tap Add. Tags you've used before are suggested as you type.

To add several tags at once, separate them with spaces or commas. Because a space starts a new tag, use hyphens for multi-word tags, for example Smith-Homes or phase-2.

Remove a tag

In the project details, tap the ✕ on the tag you want to remove. If you remove a project's last tag, it moves back to the main list.

Find tagged projects

  • Tap a tag folder on the Projects tab to see the projects inside it.
  • Or type the tag in the search bar, which matches tags as well as titles.

Create a project inside a tag

Open a tag folder, then tap +. The new project gets that tag automatically, so it's already filed in the right place.
