Snag List helps you record issues on site, photograph and mark them up, and turn them into a professional PDF report. This guide is for Snag List and Snag List Pro on iPhone and iPad.
The three tabs
- Projects: all your projects. Tap one to see its issues.
- Settings: your company logo and name, the auditor's name, report wording, and photo and date options. See Settings.
- More: this help guide.
Create your first project
- On the Projects tab, tap + at the top right.
- Type a title, for example the site name or address, and tap Create.
- Tap the project to open it. It's empty until you add issues.
To add a reference, client name, date, comments or a cover photo, open the project and tap the gear icon. See Project details.
Add your first issue
- Inside the project, tap the + icon in the toolbar. A new issue called "Issue 1" opens.
- The camera starts straight away, so take a photo of the problem. You can turn this off in Settings.
- Give the issue a title, fill in Assigned to and add any Comments.
- To mark up the photo, tap it and choose Annotate.
- Go back to the issue list. Everything saves automatically.
Build your report
- In the project, tap the printer icon to open Print Preview.
- Choose a theme with the Theme button, and change the paper size, photo size and other options under Theme Options.
- Tap the share icon at the top right to print, email or save the PDF.
See Reports for every option.
Free and Pro
Snag List is free to use for recording projects and issues, photos, annotation, maps and tags, and you can preview your report. Sharing or printing reports, exporting and importing projects, and saving to the server need a subscription. Snag List Pro is a separate paid app with everything included. See Free, Pro and subscriptions.
Using Android?
Snag List for Android works in much the same way, so most of this guide applies. The main differences are that Android has three report themes (Classic, Lighter and Black Ink) and no CSV export.
