Clock Card tracks hours and pay for one or more jobs. Everything happens on your phone: there is no account to create, no trial that runs out, and the first shift can be logged within a minute of opening the app.

The welcome screen
The first time the app opens it explains itself in three lines and offers two ways in:
- Add your job sets up a job from scratch. This is the usual route.
- Already use Clock Card? Restore a backup opens the account screen. Sign in with the email and password you used before and your jobs and shifts come back; see Backup and a new phone.
The welcome screen only appears while the phone has no job, so you will not see it again.
Name the job and set a rate
- Tap Add your job.
- Under Job name, type what you call the work. It is prefilled with "Work"; a bar, a site, a client's name or an employer all do.
- Under Hourly rate, type what you are paid an hour, for example 12.50. It is optional: leave it blank to track hours only, and the app will show a dash for pay until a rate is set.
- Check the Currency. It defaults to your phone's region and can be changed per job.
- Tap Start tracking.
That lands you on the Clock tab with a Clock in button. The next topic, Clocking in and out, takes it from there.
What the first job assumes
To keep the first screen short, a new job starts with a weekly pay period, beginning on the day your phone's region uses (Monday in the UK and most of the world, Sunday in the US), and no overtime rules, so every hour is paid at the hourly rate. Both are changed under the Jobs tab: open the job and look under Pay period and Overtime. Pay periods and Overtime rules cover each.
Editing a job later
Open the Jobs tab and tap the job. You can rename it, pick a colour, change the rate (with the date the new rate applies from, so old shifts keep the old rate), change the pay period and add overtime rules. Archived hides a job you no longer work from the clock and timesheet while keeping its history; deleting a job removes it from view.
More than one job
The free tier tracks one job. With Pro you can add as many as you like from the + button on the Jobs tab, each with its own rate, period and rules. When there is more than one, the job name at the top of the Clock tab becomes a menu for switching between them. See Free and Pro.
