Boluga Limited ("Boluga", "we", "us") makes Clock Card. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. Clock Card keeps your hours on your phone by default, contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDKs, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.
The short version
- Your jobs, shifts, breaks, pay rates and overtime rules stay on your phone unless you create an account and turn on backup, or export a timesheet yourself.
- Subscriptions are handled by Apple and Google. We never see your payment details.
- You can delete your account and everything stored with it from inside the app (Settings → Account & backup → Delete account), or by emailing apps@boluga.com. See how to delete your account.
Working without an account
Clock Card does not require an account. Used this way, everything you record — jobs, shifts, breaks, notes, pay rates, overtime rules and settings — is stored only on your phone. We have no copy of it and no access to it. Deleting the app deletes the data; backups you have enabled on your phone (iCloud or Google backup) are controlled by your device settings, not by us.
If you create an account
Creating an account is optional and enables backup, so your hours come back on a new phone, and sync between devices with Clock Card Pro. With an account:
- Account data: we store your email address and a securely hashed password, managed by our hosting provider's authentication service.
- Your hours: your jobs, shifts, breaks, notes, pay rates and overtime rules are uploaded to our servers so they can be restored to your phone and synced to your other devices. Nothing else on your phone is read.
- Where: our servers are run by Supabase in the European Union (AWS, Ireland). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- What we do with it: only backup and sync. We do not read, analyse or sell it, and no one at Boluga looks at it unless you ask us to help with a problem.
- Deletion: "Delete account" in the app removes your account and every shift, job and rule stored with it from our servers straight away. Copies in our backups expire within 30 days. The hours on your phone are not affected. We also delete on request by email.
Purchases
Clock Card Pro is sold through the App Store and Google Play. Apple or Google take payment and we receive only a receipt that tells us which plan is active. Those receipts are checked for us by RevenueCat, which stores the receipt against a random identifier the app creates on first launch; it holds no name, email address or payment details. We never see card numbers or billing addresses. Refunds and cancellations are handled through the store you bought from.
Reminders
Clock-in reminders and the "still clocked in?" nudge are local notifications scheduled on your phone. They do not involve our servers, and you can turn them off in Settings or in your phone's notification settings.
Timesheets you export
A CSV or PDF timesheet you export, share or print is yours. It contains whatever you recorded, including any notes and pay figures, so share it as you would any document about your work.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs: nothing about how you use the app is sent to us or to anyone else.
- No location tracking. Shift times come from the clock, not from where you are.
- No selling, renting or trading of personal information.
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
Children
Clock Card is a tool for working people and is not directed at children under 13; we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing apps@boluga.com. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
