Privacy Policy

Boluga Limited ("Boluga", "we", "us") makes mobile apps. This policy explains what information our apps handle, where it goes, and the choices you have. We build our apps to keep your data on your device by default, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.

Each app works differently, so after the general points below there is a section for each app. If you only use one of our apps, only that section applies to you.

The short version

Snag List stores your projects on your device. Nothing leaves it unless you create an account and turn on cloud backup, share a project with someone, or export a report yourself.

Snag List contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not track you.

Subscriptions are handled by Apple and Google. We never see your payment details.

You can ask us to delete your account and cloud data at any time: apps@boluga.com.

Working without an account

Snag List does not require an account. Used this way, everything you create — projects, issues, photos, floor plans, annotations, signatures and reports — is stored only on your device. We have no copy of it and no access to it. Deleting the app deletes the data (standard iOS/Android backups you have enabled, such as iCloud or Google backup, are controlled by your device settings, not by us).

If you create an account

Creating an account is optional and enables cloud backup, sync between devices, and project sharing. With an account:

Account data: we store your email address and a securely hashed password.

Project data: if your subscription includes cloud backup, your projects, issues, photos and signatures are uploaded and stored so they can be backed up and synced to your other devices. Photos and documents you capture may include personal information (for example, images of a property) — you control what you capture.

Where it lives: cloud data is hosted for us by Supabase, our infrastructure provider, on servers in [REGION — e.g. the EU/London; confirm your Supabase project region before publishing]. Data is encrypted in transit.

We use this data only to provide the service — backup, sync and sharing. We do not mine it, profile you with it, or sell it.

Sharing projects

If you share a project with team members, we process the email addresses you invite so the invitation can be delivered and access granted. People you share with can see the project's contents according to the role you give them, and changes they make are attributed to them.

Snag List can also create share links (for example, for an assignee or client without an account). Anyone who has such a link can view or act on the shared content, so treat links like keys — and revoke them in the app when they are no longer needed.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions are purchased through, and billed by, Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never receive your card or bank details. To unlock features you have paid for, our server receives and validates the purchase receipt from Apple or Google and stores your current subscription status alongside your account.

Photos, camera and permissions

Snag List asks for camera and photo-library permission only when you use those features, and (if you enable the option) permission to save copies of captured photos to your photo library. Photos are used solely within your projects and reports. Nothing is scanned, analysed or shared by us.

Reports and exports

Reports (PDF, CSV, Excel) are generated on your device. Where a report goes — email, messages, a client — is entirely your choice via your device's share sheet; we are not involved in the transfer and keep no copy.

No advertising, no tracking

Snag List contains no third-party advertising, no analytics SDKs and no trackers. The only data our servers ever see is what is described above, and only if you sign in. Apple and Google may provide us with aggregated, anonymous crash and usage statistics collected under their own policies and your device settings.

Keeping and deleting data

Local data is yours and stays until you delete it or the app. Cloud data is kept while your account exists. Items you delete are removed from your devices and from cloud storage as your devices sync.

You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time in the app: Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, your cloud-stored projects and photos, and your subscription record on our side (the subscription itself is managed — and should be cancelled — in your App Store or Google Play settings). Projects stored on your device stay on your device. You can also request deletion by emailing apps@boluga.com from your account's email address; we action requests within 30 days.

Older versions of Snag List

Versions of Snag List before 2.0 (including Snag List Pro) store data only on your device and in your own iCloud storage, with no Boluga servers involved.

Children

Our apps are made for professional use and are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under UK and EU GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO). For anything data-related, contact us at apps@boluga.com — we will help regardless of where you are.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting cloud data will also be flagged in the app or by email.
